Kumar was born in India and received a Bachelor of Engineering (Power Electronics) from Saurashtra University in 2000 and then a Masters of Engineering (Electrical Power Engineering) from the University of Waterloo in 2012. In 2002, he immigrated to Canada and then joined Langtree Controls Ltd. in 2003. Since then he has worked his way up and he became a partner in 2011. Kumar has over 15 years of experience working on many different projects from the Food and Beverage to the Petrochemical/Refinery industries.
Kumar is a registered professional engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario, The Association of professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Saskatchewan and Alberta and a Certified Functional Safety Professional.
